Richard Jefferson Chose The Worst Way To Call Off His Wedding In The Past

One summer, Richard Jefferson appeared to be in the perfect situation. After being moved to the San Antonio Spurs, he started competing for the NBA championship right away. He also had plans to wed Kesha Nicole Nichols, his cheerleader lover.

One thing, though, did alter. Jefferson made the decision to skip his own wedding at the eleventh hour (two hours prior to the ceremony), leaving his wife and friends with many unanswered concerns. The New York Post said that attendees and friends had already arrived and were undoubtedly anticipating a wedding.

If you follow the tabloids, you are aware that many well-known athletes are serial daters who appear to be juggling many partners in various places or moving from one relationship to the next. It’s clear that’s not the case for everyone, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned from the decades I’ve spent watching sports, it’s that players occasionally struggle to maintain love relationships.

This might result in difficult circumstances, such as the one Jefferson encountered when he decided it was time to end his engagement to a lady.

“Jefferson’s guests made good use of the credit card to party on their pal’s dime.”

According to reports, the wedding was going to cost more than $2 million and be held at a posh hotel in New York City. It appears like Jefferson paid for that one, so don’t worry about his not having enough money. This season, Jefferson is expected to earn $14 million, and in 2011, $15 million.

The guard had been seeing Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols for five years at that point, and they were planning to marry on July 11th in a wedding ceremony.

But he couldn’t get rid of the emotion he had when he and his fiancee went to a Fourth of July celebration a week before their wedding, and it made him do some real soul-searching.

He ultimately came to the conclusion that he couldn’t proceed with the anticipated wedding and that he needed to inform Nichols of this. He accomplished this by sending her an email a few days before their wedding.

When the media learned of this development, it didn’t take long for Jefferson to try to put things right. In an interview with The New York Post, he said, “There was a lot of stress and strain in the relationship. We’ve gone through a lot, but we simply couldn’t go on, I promised not to mention anything bad about Kesha. She ranks among my closest pals.

He could’ve chosen better ways to end things. I guess these are the situations on which Taylor Swift writes her songs about! Well, Women know “Better than revenge.”
