Rex Ryan’s Eyes Well Up With Tears While Talking About The Damar Hamlin Incident

Numerous individuals throughout the league have been motivated by Damar Hamlin’s struggle after he suffered a heart arrest on Monday night. Less than a week later, Hamlin is making good neurological progress and has started breathing on his own once more. Like for all of us, it was quite a difficult time for Rex Ryan as well! When asked about Damar Hamlin he couldn’t hold back his tears.

When Hamlin hit Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins, his heart stopped, and he had to be given CPR on the field before being sent to the hospital.

Prior to waking up from nearly two-day sedation, the 24-year-old safety had a spectacular recovery.

Hamlin’s hands and feet can move, his breathing tube was withdrawn overnight on Thursday, and his neurological functions are fully unharmed. He FaceTimed with family and friends all day on Friday and spoke to the Buffalo Bills organisation as well.

The most motivational Hamlin experience was when he awoke throughout the week and asked a straightforward inquiry regarding the game as soon as he opened his eyes.

Did we win? He asked.

Rex Ryan, a former head coach of the Bills, was particularly impressed by Hamlin’s tenacity and tenacity, and he admitted as much while fighting back tears on television on Saturday.

Given what occurred on Monday night, Rex Ryan has experienced extreme stress this week, just like the rest of us.

One of those instances where you’ll always remember where you were is when you saw Damar Hamlin essentially cease breathing on live television.

After that, there was much waiting. and a wait. More waiting continues with no resolution. Finally, on Wednesday morning, the good news began to trickle in, and it has been coming in steadily ever since.

Rex Ryan has never been one to hide his feelings, and this situation is no exception.

“We needed that. As fans, we needed it,” he said. “This guy is a legend, You talk about a fighter? Dang right he’s a fighter, he’s a dang legend. Thank you, I needed it as a dad, as a coach and as a fan of this game.”

While his stay with the Bills in 2015 and 2016 wasn’t fruitful, Ryan still had the chance to witness the resilience of Buffalo town. The former coach has always been unafraid to express his feelings, and he has continued this trait in his position as an ESPN analyst.

The NFL is paying tribute to Hamlin this weekend as the league as a whole continues to think of the Buffalo safety as he battles for his recovery.
