REVEALED: NFL Teams Playing in the 2023 International Games in Germany and England

The clubs that will host international matches during the 2023 season were revealed by the NFL on Thursday, and several well-known names are included. During the National Football League regular season, a series of football contests known as the NFL International Games are played abroad outside of the United States. The NFL International Games were being held in three nations in 2022: Germany, Mexico, and the United Kingdom.

Five games in the 2023 regular season will be played in the nations listed by the NFL. No international matches will be played in Mexico for the next season owing to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City being renovated.

Teams and Venues for 2023 NFL international games

During the NFL’s 2023 regular season, the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Patriots will all host overseas games. Two international games will once again be held in London’s Tottenham Hotspur Venue, the only NFL stadium outside of the US that was designed specifically for that purpose.

The Titans and Bills will travel to the city. As part of their multi-year commitment to play in the UK, the Jaguars will return to their home away from home, Wembley Stadium. The Chiefs and Patriots will also play regular-season games in Germany in 2023; the host cities will be revealed later this year.

This year, the league held its first sold-out game in Germany. In actuality, all of the international matches sold out. Contests were attended by about 356,000 people in the UK and Germany. Teams now get a ninth home game every other season thanks to the NFL’s increase to 17 regular-season games.

Each year, up to four of the NFL teams from the conference whose teams are eligible for that ninth home game during the regular season are chosen to participate in a neutral-site international game.
