Reports: Saints’ Alvin Kamara Indicted In Las Vegas For Role In Alleged Beating

According to David Charns of 8 News Now, a grand jury has accused Saints running back Alvin Kamara and three other people for their alleged role in a beating in Las Vegas in 2022.

For an altercation that happened outside a strip club on February 5, 2022, over the course of Pro Bowl weekend, a Clark County grand jury indicted Kamara, Bengals cornerback Chris Lammons, and two other people. The accusations include both violence with great bodily harm and conspiracy to conduct battery.

The New Orleans Saints have had a very difficult time since the legendary Drew Brees retired and head coach Sean Payton left. They have endured two straight losing seasons, a great deal of quarterback instability, and a scandal that continues to have an impact on their best remaining player, running back Alvin Kamara.

Kamara was finally charged with felony charges of assault resulting in significant bodily injury and conspiracy to commit assault over a year after the incident that started the night before the 2022 Pro Bowl. The first information was made public by CBS Las Vegas, which also stated that a jury in Clark County had issued an indictment.

It should be recalled that the incident occurred the night before the aforementioned Pro Bowl that took place on February 6, 2022 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Darnell Greene, the guy who reported the assault, told Las Vegas Metro police that he and a group of individuals, including the four males charged, were waiting outside an elevator at Drai’s Nightclub. According to the arrest record that was received, as the elevator doors opened, Kamara put his hand on the victim’s chest to prevent him from entering.

Greene claimed in a $10 million lawsuit that Kamara repeatedly hit him in the face and pushed him against a wall. According to the lawsuit, Greene made an attempt to flee after Kamara hit him once. According to the lawsuit, however, Kamara pursued Greene into a hallway and continued to strike him until he collapsed.

When Greene was on the ground, Kamara struck him three more times, according to pictures and CCTV footage. No time throughout the attack “did Greene strike, punch, or shove Kamara or any of his colleagues,” the lawsuit claims.

A picture showed Kamara and one of his accomplices kicking and stomping Greene as he lay helpless on the ground. Kamara and his buddies were led to the nightclub’s valet through a back entrance as Greene lay unconscious for more than two minutes. There, they got into a black Cadillac Vehicle and left the building.

Despite the arrest and lawsuit, Kamara played the entire 2022 season for New Orleans. A judge has set a court date for March 2, per 8 News Now.
