REPORT: Jalen Hurts Might Not Play For The Rest Of The Season After Shoulder Injury
Injuries are the only thing that could cause the Philadelphia Eagles to falter. Jalen Hurts, the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, has reportedly sprained his throwing shoulder and is questionable to play against the Dallas Cowboys on Christmas Eve.
Jalen Hurts suffered the injury against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, a game in which the Eagles had to battle hard to eventually eke out a victory, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who first reported the news of Hurts’ injury.
Jalen Hurts Might Not Play For The Rest Of The Season After Shoulder Injury
Jalen Hurts suffered a sprained shoulder injury during Sunday’s 25-20 win over the Chicago Bears that could sideline him for the remainder of the season, according to a report form Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Eagles can win the NFC East after the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, but an injured Hurts could complicate their chances of reaching the Super Bowl.
If Jalen Hurts is out, Gardner Minshew, the backup quarterback, would likely get the start against the Cowboys. With 22 starts in 30 NFL games for the Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars, Minshew is one of the league’s backup quarterbacks with the most experience.
Orthopedic source on #Eagles QB Jalen Hurts' injury: if it's a shoulder sprain, 10-14 days of rest would likely be recommended, but it's mostly a matter of pain tolerance. The risk of playing early is just prolonging full healing. Knowing Hurts, a one-game absence may be the max.

In his third NFL season, Jalen Hurts has established himself as a leading MVP contender while guiding the Eagles to an NFL-best 13-1 record. He has made 14 starts and is averaging a career-high 248 passing yards per game while throwing 22 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
With a 13-1 record, the Eagles have the greatest record in the NFL. The only thing that may prevent them from going all the way to the Super Bowl is themselves. We can now add injuries to that list, I suppose.
#Eagles star QB Jalen Hurts’ status is in doubt for Saturday’s game against the #Cowboys because of a sprained throwing shoulder suffered in the third quarter Sunday, sources tell me, @RapSheet and @MikeGarafolo. The injury isn’t considered long term. pic.twitter.com/k3sMH8aiPo

Any injury at this time of year is undesirable, but it is especially bad when it affects your quarterback AND his throwing arm.
However, there is a slight possibility that they could drop from first place if Hurts is out for several weeks, they lose to Dallas on Christmas Eve, and they keep losing.
Fans of the Eagles will be praying that Hurts heals fast because he is essential to their chances of winning the Lombardi Trophy in a few months.
