‘Really Hard to Get on a Microphone’- Michael Chandler Credits Moving to the UFC From Bellator MMA for his Explosive Post-Fight Interviews

UFC lightweight Michael Chandler has become a household name in the MMA community ever since he signed up with the UFC. His burst in exposure has been spurred on in a major way by his ability to market himself on the mic following his breakout performances in the octagon.

The former three-time Bellator MMA lightweight champion spoke out on his explosive post-fight octagon interviews on the MMA Hour He talked about how signing with the UFC provided him the platform to market himself effectively.

While making his point, he also spoke about how Bellator MMA didn’t have the best fighters in the sport, thus making it futile to push himself towards being more outgoing on the mic.

“Sorry, Bellator does not have the best fighters in the world. There might be one or two outliers within that organization, but it’s just the truth… I’m very thankful for my history in the organization, but it’s really hard to get on a microphone and tell people I’m the most entertaining fighter in the world when I’m not fighting in the premier organization.”

“We can all admit — and if you don’t admit, you’re either a hater or you don’t know the sport — that the UFC is the premier organization. The fighters in the UFC are the premier fighters on the planet.”
