Raiders WR Davante Adams charged with misdemeanor assault for pushing photographer to the ground

Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams has been charged with a misdemeanor assault after what he says was just a short moment of irritation. As Adams was leaving the field after the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, he knocked a photographer to the ground.

As stated by the police in Kansas City, Missouri, whiplash, a headache, and possibly even a small concussion were the results of the victim being shoved by Adams. Adams allegedly caused these injuries by pushing the victim.

The five-time Pro Bowler was accused on Wednesday morning in Kansas City Municipal Court. It has been determined that the person who shoved Adams was Ryan Zebley, who works as a freelance photographer for ESPN Monday Night Football.

After the game, Adams expressed regret. He recalled that as he was exiting the field, “He leaped in front of me.” It’s possible that I shoved him. Adams continued, “He ended up on the ground.”

It is necessary for me to convey to him my deep regret. It turned out that he was just rushing in front of me, which made the situation even more frustrating for me. “Maybe I shouldn’t have responded the way I did, but I did it anyway,” he said.

He is to blame, and he has my deepest condolences. There are indications that the National Football League is also looking into the incident. Several sources say that Adams’ behavior could lead to a suspension or a fine as a form of punishment.

Josh McDaniels, the head coach of the Raiders, came out in support of Adams and said he would help the league with their investigation on Tuesday. “We absolutely don’t want any of our guys doing anything like that,” McDaniels said. “He is aware of reality. He completely understands what that means. I don’t believe he did it for any other motive, though, because I know the person.”
