Quarterback To Vice President? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Considering Aaron Rodgers For The Position

According to a New York Times story published on Tuesday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets is among Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s short list of candidates to run alongside him in November on an independent presidential ticket.

Quarterback To Vice President? Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Considering Aaron Rodgers For The Position

Kennedy told the publication that Rodgers and Jesse Ventura, a professional wrestler and former governor of Minnesota, are being considered. Kennedy claims that they had spoken “pretty continuously” over the past month with Rodgers. Although it’s unclear if they have received formal offers of the jobs, the Times said that they have both “welcomed the overtures.”

The next step in this process is to wait for Rodgers, who has been vocal in his support of Kennedy Jr., to indicate whether or not he would accept the position if it were offered.

Rodgers could brush this off. Ignore it for the absurd notion that it is. He has a lot of experience reading defenses, after all. However, politicians must gauge the sentiment of the whole nation. It’s a little harder to lead a country to prosperity than to guide an offensive team to the end zone.

Naturally, Rodgers’ life on the campaign trail would be a significant challenge, as he just stated in an interview that he intends to play “two, three, or four more years” in the NFL. He has a deal that runs through 2025, and this season, he will earn a guaranteed $35 million in salary and incentives.

The story prompted no response from the Jets.

Believing a quarterback for the NFL who spins the biggest conspiracy theories and considers himself one of the best intellectuals of his generation—a COVID vaccination denier? Epstein Jeffrey? 9/11 truther? Make sure the vice president is qualified to inform the public about the complete lack of seriousness of Kennedy’s candidacy. Vice President Rodgers would present Tommy Tuberville as a distinguished statesman rather than the often demonstrated moron that he is.

If someone discovers the connection between winning and being on a presidential ticket, please let me know. Perhaps let Robert Saleh and Woody Johnson know as well.

Presidential politics are nothing new to the Jets organization. From 2017 to 2021, owner Woody Johnson represented former President Donald Trump in the UK as an ambassador. After Trump won the South Carolina Republican primary, he was recently spotted with the president at a rally.
