QB Aaron Rodgers Drops A Hint At How Long He Will Stick With The Jets?

How long Aaron Rodgers expects to play was one of the concerns that arose after the quarterback was traded to the Jets earlier this year.

QB Aaron Rodgers Drops A Hint At How Long He Will Stick With The Jets?

Rodgers hasn’t stated his exact plans for how long he’ll stay with the Jets, but he has made it clear he’s considering a number of years. Another one was introduced at the training camp’s opening news conference on Thursday.

This season marks the beginning of a brand-new chapter for the four-time NFL MVP, who doesn’t appear to enjoy the constant presence of cameras in his face.

“Look, I understand the appeal with us. There’s a lot of eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad. They forced it down our throats and we have to deal with it.”

The next question for Rodgers concerned his anticipated stay with his new squad.

However, the four-time NFL MVP appears to believe that the Jets’ window for a title is open for more than one season, possibly indicating that he may stay on as a consequence.

“I love being around the young energy, the excitement. There’s a great feel to this team, guys who are young and super talented on their first contracts, many of them,” Rodgers said at the Jets’ training camp earlier this week, via ESPN.

“Knowing that you can make a difference is extremely thrilling when you have so many excellent players on rookie contracts. You have a nice window. Being competitive is something you can do all year long, which is great.

The Jets are expecting immediate dividends from their trade for Rodgers, but if they have sustained success, it will make them seem even better for making the move.

Given that Rodgers is now in the second year of a three-year, $150 million deal he signed with the Green Bay Packers back in March 2022, it is quite possible that he will play for the Jets in the upcoming season.

How things turn out for the Jets this season will likely go a long way in determining whether or not Rodgers decides to stick around beyond this season.
