‘Put your glasses back on’ – NFL analysts Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless involved in heated argument over Tom Brady
Following the comparison and analysis by Skip Bayless of Tom Brady, the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Shannon Sharpe absolutely lost his composure on live television.
Following the Bucs’ humiliating 35-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the pair talked about the 45-year-old on Monday’s episode of Undisputed.
Why did Shannon Sharpe get angry with Skip Bayless?
Bayless compared NFL legend Brady to Sharpe for his decision to play at the age of 45 years calling it a day when he was 10 years younger. “When you had to stop playing at 35, this man is still doing well at age 45,” Bayless said to Sharpe.
“That’s what you do,” Sharpe responded, unhappily. He further said, “Every time I call something into question, I get it.” He continued by vehemently defending himself, stating, “I did what I did! You portray me as a slacker”, he added. Sharpe also said that he is actually in the Hall of Fame and has three Super Bowls.
Defiantly responding, Bayless said, “So what? He’s far superior to you in every aspect.” Sharpe was even more incensed by Bayless’ comment, and when he interrupted Sharpe as he tried to continue, the former tight end yelled “Time out!” and threw his glasses on the table.

“You’re taking personal jabs at me, by saying he’s better than me because I think he’s playing poorly this year,” Sharpe continued. Bayless retaliated by saying Sharpe had disrespected Brady and that this was beneath the “dignity” of his co-host.
Bayless concluded the contentious exchange by declaring, “I’ll back him [Brady] over anybody because he’s by far the greatest player who has ever played your game.”

Despite struggling against a strong 49ers defense, Brady threw two interceptions, and the Buccaneers still lead the NFC South standings.
