Protester File Complaint Against Bobby Wagner For Tackling Him

Animal rights advocate who was tackled by Los Angeles Rams linebacker Bobby Wagner reportedly reported the event as an assault.

On Monday night, during the Rams’ game versus the San Francisco 49ers, the protester, who has been publicly identified as Alex Taylor of Direct Action Everywhere, went onto the field while brandishing a pink flare. He was tackled by the 240-pound, six-time All-Pro, Super Bowl winner Wagner after eluding security. The viral hit’s video spread quickly.

On Wednesday, Lieutenant Cuong Phan remarked, “It’s an active inquiry.” “I can attest that someone did enter on Tuesday around 1:45 and make a report. We are unable to provide further information at this time due to the continuing nature of the inquiry.

Phan did not specify whether Wagner or the Rams franchise, in general, was the target of the complaint.

In order to ensure the safety of others, Wagner claimed he had tackled the protester.

What Did Bobby Wagner Say To The Media?

Wagner spoke with reporters about the incident on Wednesday … saying, “It’s behind me.”

“That’s not making a play,” Wagner said after the game. “That’s just keeping it safe. You don’t know what that fan got or what they’re doing. You see it all the time, and we don’t know what they’re carrying in their pockets. It’s whatever that little smoke stuff is, but that shit could be dangerous. … One of the security guys on the other side, it looked like he got hurt, and security looked like he was struggling, so I was frustrated, so I took it out on him.”

As we previously mentioned, during the second quarter of the game, two protesters leapt the stadium railing while carrying pink smoke bombs in an effort to obstruct the play on the field.

Before she could enter the playing area, a female protester was hauled down. However, the other protester managed to get away from security long enough to play a few snaps on the gridiron.

The individuals allegedly carried out the stunt to increase awareness for a trial involving the alleged theft of pigs from a factory farm, according to Direct Action Everywhere. The organization said that the incident left the man with burns.
