Prosecutors Set to Drop Charges on Patrick Mahomes’ Brother Jackson Mahomes in Sexual Battery Case

In connection with an alleged incident that occurred in a bar in the Kansas City area in February 2023, prosecutors are seeking to drop felony charges against Jackson Mahomes, the younger brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Jackson, who is accused of forcingly kissing the establishment’s female owner, faces three felony charges of aggravated sexual battery. Prosecutors filed a motion on Tuesday to dismiss those charges, stating that Jackson’s alleged victim “has made her lack of cooperation abundantly clear,” according to the Kansas City Star.

In addition, Fox 4 Kansas City reported that the prosecution said the accused victim told them, “She would say she has not been truthful to police,” and that their conversation with Jackson “was consensual.”

A few months before, video of the purported assault surfaced, and in May 2023, 23-year-old influencer Jackson was taken into custody on charges of aggravated sexual battery.

The same night of the alleged run-in with the restaurant owner, Jackson allegedly shoved a male employee, according to a misdemeanor battery charge filed against him at the time.

As reported by Fox 4 Kansas City, the prosecution wants to press that accusation.

The previous year, Jackson entered a not-guilty plea to the allegations.

“Like I said from the beginning, Jackson has done nothing wrong. We had full confidence that the truth of the matter would ultimately be revealed. The defense will reserve further comment until the remaining count is disposed of,” Brandon Davies, Jackson’s lawyer, stated in a statement to Fox 4.

Jackson’s court appearance is scheduled for this Wednesday afternoon in Johnson County.
