“Play of the Same Team” – LaVar Ball Dreams of His Sons Playing Together and Scoring ’40 Points a Quarter’
LaVar Ball has never been one to hold back his viewpoints. The owner of the Big Baller Brand recently disclosed his goals for his boys’ NBA future. LaVar Ball has returned and is crazier than ever. Ball believes that if his boys all played together, they would be more successful in the NBA. Even his three sons, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo, think he’s the ideal coach for them.
Complex questioned LaVar about his desire for his son to someday join the Los Angeles Lakers after learning that LaMelo’s team, the Charlotte Hornets, is now at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. LaVar Ball talks about his sons’ future
In an interview with Complex Magazine’s Pierce Simpson, LaVar was questioned about the ideal environment for LaMelo to fulfill his potential. Unfortunately for Lakers supporters, Ball quickly denied that he would be interested in having another of his sons join the legendary team.
“Common sense would tell you, hell no. You did something to my boy Lonzo, and you think I’m going to come back with the others? I gotta be stone-cold crazy”
“What you mean, what is the perfect situation?” LaVar said. “Ain’t no situation. It’s going to happen. All three of them are going to play on the same team and when it happens, folks are going to go crazy.”
LaMelo Ball has spent his whole third NBA season with the Hornets. In seven games this season, he has averaged 23.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks. Ball has missed much of the 2022–23 season due to ankle problems, but when fit, he has hit the three-ball exceptionally effectively for Charlotte.
Three boys, Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo, were born to LaVar Ball. After being traded to the Chicago Bulls in a sign-and-trade last year, Lonzo now represents the team. LiAngelo, meanwhile, was undrafted in 2018 and has never participated in a professional game. He is presently a member of the Greensboro Swarm, a Charlotte Hornets G League affiliate.
