Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots Week 2 2022: TV Coverage, Live Scores, Odds Lines, Spreads, and Predictions
Game Preview
On Sunday, the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers square off in an NFL matchup. After their poor performance in a Week 1 defeat to the Miami Dolphins, there isn’t much hope for the New England Patriots, but oddsmakers are still rather positive on Bill Belichick’s squad. Sunday’s season-opening loss against the Miami Dolphins was 20-7 for the Patriots.
With the exception of RB Ty Montgomery’s third-quarter touchdown on a 6-yard throw, New England was held without a score. QB Mac Jones completed 21 of 30 passes for 213 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception.
Despite having a back problem, he continued to play. Damien Harris led the backfield with 48 yards on 9 carries, while Jakobi Meyers topped all pass catchers with 55 yards on 4 grabs.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots – Predictions
Final Score Prediction: Patriots: 21 | Steelers: 20
The Patriots cannot afford to lose their first two games in a row, but it is a very real possibility if they are unable to ignite their attack against the tenacious Steelers’ defense. Despite their dismal performance in the season opener and the fact that they will be playing a strong Steelers squad on the road, the Patriots are still 1-point favorites.
#Patriots head coach Bill Belichick at the podium now. Points out that this is the first Pats/#Steelers matchup since 2018. Unusual for these two teams to get that long between games. pic.twitter.com/drpvaHep3n

In a thrilling overtime victory against the Bengals, the defending AFC champions, the Steelers left Cincinnati on Sunday. Joe Burrow, the quarterback for the Bengals, was sacked seven times and intercepted four times by Pittsburgh’s defense.
The Patriots will have another challenging road game against a more assured Pittsburgh squad with Mac Jones doubtful and the passing offense appearing one or two levels behind Houston’s. Despite their flaws, the Steelers have the backfield, receivers, and defense to defeat Bill Belichick’s dubious-talented team.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs New England Patriots – Betting Trends
In the overall rivalry, the Patriots have a slim 17-16 advantage, including a 4-1 record in postseason play. The most recent encounter, which took place in 2019, saw New England win 6 of the previous 7 matches.
