Pittsburgh Steelers’ Diontae Johnson Fantasy: WR NFL Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Although the Pittsburgh Steelers were unable to go past the Wild Card stage for the second consecutive year, Diontae Johnson, who lines up as a WR1 for the team, is coming off of his greatest season to date.

The Steelers are reportedly in negotiations with Johnson and his camp as he approaches the fourth and final year of his rookie deal. As Johnson enters the last year of his rookie contract, he is involved in a contract dispute.

When it comes time to pick Johnson, a shift in the Steelers’ offensive philosophies may affect how fantasy managers see Johnson. Johnson has averaged 10.6 targets a game over the last two seasons, but he has had trouble playing effectively.

Johnson’s rookie contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and he is seeking a pricey extension. This shouldn’t necessarily have an impact on his performance, and he’ll still play for the majority of the season, but it’s something to watch out for.
