Conor McGregor entered the UFC as a two-division world champion in a MMA promotion based out of Europe. At the time, ‘The Notorious’ was still collecting welfare cheques from the government as he did not make enough money to sustain himself. The Irishman entered the UFC with a very clear gold in mind, he wanted to become a champion and make enough money to set himself up and his kids for life.
Just two years after his UFC debut, McGregor knocked out Jose Aldo in 13-seconds to become a champion and in the process cement his place as the biggest star in the UFC by far. The fame and money only increased after his boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather where he made upwards of $100 million. These mega paydays have allowed McGregor to enjoy the finer things in life, such as a $3.6 million Lamborghini yacht, countless luxury cars and more.
However, McGregor is also a watch aficionado and has quite the collection himself. In a recent Instagram post, he was seen wearing a $102,000 watch. As mentioned on ‘Insaneluxurylife’ on Instagram, “Rare @patekphilippe Calatrava ‘Skeleton’ 5180/1R in 18k rose gold, one of the first open-worked Patek Philippe timepieces. First introduced in 2008 in 18k white gold, in 2017 was unveiled its 18k rose gold version to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Calibre 240 that drives the watch. The case measures an elegant 39 mm in diameter and 6.7 mm in height. The engraving alone of the dial takes about 130 hours of work.”
Conor McGregor to return to action in 2022?
McGregor stated that he would return in the second half of 2022. We’re currently at the halfway point of 2022, which means that the return of ‘The Notorious’ is imminent.
In all likelihood, his return fight will be against Nate Diaz at welterweight. However, at this point in time, McGregor has not started training in MMA therefore, it seems unlikely that he will fight before the end of this year.
