PHOTOS: Clippers Star Kawhi Leonard Has Started Taking Leg Day More Seriously and It’s is Visible! Posted on September 20, 2022 by Jack Marks After missing all of last season due to a ruptured ACL in his right knee, Kawhi Leonard is back with the Los Angeles Clippers this year. Leonard re-signed with the Clippers on August 12, 2021, to a maximum four-year, $176.3 million deal with the fourth year being a player option after choosing to forego the last year of his initial contract. After healing from a partial ACL injury in his right knee, Leonard sat out the whole campaign. Without Leonard, the Clippers concluded the regular season with a record of 42-40 and earned a spot in the Play-In Tournament, but were unable to go further due to losses to the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New Orleans Pelicans. His right quadriceps ailment appeared to persist throughout his final season with the San Antonio Spurs.
