Philadelphia Eagles’ Miles Sanders RB: NFL Fantasy Data & Stats Speculations 2022
Player Outlook
Miles Sanders did not have a very good 2021 season thanks to injuries and his own performances as well. It does not look like this season has gotten off to a positive start as Sanders did not attend the training session earlier today thanks to what is a suspected hamstring injury which might see him missing the season opener. The Eagles spent a lot of time and focus revamping their offense around their young and promising quarterback Jalen Hurts this season.
Last season started off well for Sanders who played 60-83% of snaps in the first six games but only averaged 9.5 rushing attempts per game, he did see 3.8 targets per game after which an ankle injury ruined his progress. After returning from injury, he established himself as the clear lead back averaging 16.8 carries per game, although his pass game usage dried up.

The main concern here for Sanders is how injury prone he is. Last season Sanders missed five games and over the course of the last two seasons, he has missed nine games in total, which is not ideal for an NLF fantasy team. Another extremely concerning factor here is that, despite seeing 23 touches inside the 20, he failed to get into the end zone in 2021, which is a huge cause for concern to say the least.

Sanders has struggled thus far with Hurts in charge. However, given that the Eagles now have a new offense, their quarterback will have a lot more options to choose from. For a guy who was considered to be a solid RB2 option, Sanders left a lot of team owners disappointed last season, finishing as the 43rd best running back in terms of scoring. It will be interesting to see if Sanders can bounce back this season.
