Peyton Manning Disses Jets With Taylor Swift Joke At An Award Function

During the 2023 CMA Awards, Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning paused to have a lighthearted joke about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

The 2023 CMA co-hosts, Bryan and Manning, traded barbs during their opening statement on Wednesday night at Bridgestone Arena.

An NFL icon and a country music legend thoroughly teased one NFL club at the beginning of the annual CMA Awards event, which took place in Nashville on Wednesday night.

Naturally, the topic of discussion is the New York Jets.

The show’s hosts, Peyton Manning and Luke Bryant, made light of Aaron Rodgers’ team, which has been sidelined since Week 1 due to an Achilles injury, during their monologue. The team’s record dropped to 4–4 after a disappointing defeat to the Chargers on Monday night at home.

Since Kelce and Swift were initially connected in September, their bond has been undeniable. Bryan even made light of the fact that he and Manning were hosting because “Travis and Taylor weren’t available.”

Then, Manning prepared Bryan for a cruel trick on the Jets.

The country singer was asked by the Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback about the distinction between Swift and the Jets.

“Luke, you know the difference between Taylor Swift and the New York Jets?” Peyton enquired. “Uh, Taylor can sell out a stadium!” Bryan answered.

“Taylor can sell out a stadium,” Bryan said to the amusement of the crowd.

“You nailed it,” Manning said with a smirk on his face.

“I had you do that punchline Luke so that I wouldn’t get in trouble,” Manning added.

After seeing Manning’s remarks, the Jets responded to the former Colts and Broncos quarterback on social media shortly after.

“What are we talking about Peyton,” the Jets wrote on X with a photo of MetLife Stadium looking full during an unspecified game.

A few days before to Manning’s jab, his younger brother and former Giants quarterback Eli Manning had publicly ridiculed him during Monday’s “ManningCast” of the Jets’ game versus the Chargers.

In fairness, the Jets have the third-highest average home attendance in the NFL, drawing 80,631 fans who occupy 97.7 per cent of MetLife Stadium.
