“People That Know Football Know What Was Going On”- With Tom Brady in Support Devin White Hits Bucs Legend for Disrespectful Recent Comments

Over the years, as a seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Tom Brady has established himself as a fierce leader. Brady is not afraid to criticize his team when it is needed, but at the same time, on multiple occasions, Brady has proven that he will stand alongside his teammates no matter what and shield them from the outside noise. This was once again put on display with Devin White.

Devin White was the fifth overall pick in the 2019 draft where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers opted for his services. Ever since he joined, White has been a very good addition to the team and helped the team win their first Super Bowl in 18 years as well.

After the team’s last game against the Ravens, White was subject to criticism from Bucs legend Warren Sapp. The former defensive line ripped into Devin White for not being proactive enough in one of the snaps. He went on to say that if he was a defensive player on the team he would demand the captaincy patch be ripped off White’s arm for his lack of effort.

When asked for his response on the matter White said, “I don’t got on response to that. I mean people that know football know what was going on. I was on the far side of the field, (in) coverage. The play happened on their sidelines, and I took off running. Obviously I wasn’t running the fastest over there. My teammates know what’s going on.”

White continued, “It really ain’t no response on that man. Salute to him, he did a great job, he won a Super Bowl here. And it is freedom of speech he can say what he wants to say, all respect to him.”

Amidst all the criticism, Tom Brady came to his teammate’s rescue saying, “It’s gonna take all of us. We got you @DevinWhite__40 #GoBucs.” In their most recent game, the Bucs succumbed to a 27-22 loss against the Baltimore Ravens. Next up for the Bucs are the defending champions, the Los Angeles Rams, they go into the game with the hope of snapping a three-game losing streak.
