‘People Don’t Have Any Freedom’- Dan Hardy Trashes UFC President Dana White for ‘Disrespecting’ Nate Diaz
Former UFC commentator Dan Hardy spoke out against his former boss Dana White for a recent situation that went down in the company. One of the UFC’s top stars in Nate Diaz has been engaged in a stalemate with the UFC, trying to get the company to sign off on the last fight of his existing contract.
Diaz is keen to take his talents elsewhere and box Jake Paul in the ring. This would be a wildly lucrative endeavor that is sure to bring in plenty of money and acclaim for Stockton’s second son. However, he’s still not been able to get a fight from the UFC and UFC President Dana White has been giving him the cold shoulder.

Dan Hardy lays into Dana White
Per Hardy, the UFC has deteriorating relationships with its fighters are in large part due to the way they treat their fighters. Dan Hardy cited the aforementioned Nate Diaz-Dana White situation and labeled the incident as disrespectful to Diaz.
“This is the whole reason why there’s a class-action lawsuit against the UFC. People don’t have any freedom, they don’t have any control over their career.”
“Think about this, every single fighter on the UFC roster and everybody that’s considering signing with the UFC, they need to really contemplate this, if Nate Diaz can be disrespected to the media by the promoter the way that he has been, they don’t care about anybody.”
Dan Hardy also went on record to say that Nate Diaz should receive his release with immediate effect if that’s what he so chooses.

“That’s the sad reality of it. Like, if Nate wants his release, he should get his release. He’s had enough stitches, he’s made enough money for the organization. Let him go. And if that means him going and making a bunch of money or fighting Jake Paul, then so be it, even better. If the UFC have not got their hands in his pockets, I just… I don’t know.” [h/t bjpenn.com]
It’s clear as day that the UFC has its own plans for Nate Diaz and it remains to be seen if Diaz will get his way in this feud.
