Dale Mooney, a Newmarket, New Hampshire, resident, was brought to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office stated he seemed to be in “need of medical attention” following an altercation in the 300s deck of Gillette Stadium shortly before 11 p.m. ET.

The terrible occurrence occurred in the 308/309 area of the stadium at about 11 p.m. ET, during the fourth quarter of the Patriots’ 17-24 loss. Mooney was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro but was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Donations flooded in for the family of Dale Mooney, 53, who died following an incident at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Sunday night, according to a GoFundMe page put up on Wednesday.

Rebecca Meains, a Facebook user, announced the launch of a Dolphins-themed raffle to benefit Mooney’s family.

“I want to show the Mooney family what type of fan base the Dolphins are, and I’m conducting a raffle and [raffling] off a signed OJ McDuffie jersey, and all proceeds go to the Dale Mooney family,” she posted Wednesday.

“We’re putting this money is from Dolphins Nation fans because we want them to know what type of fan base we really are,” Meains continued.

“Dolphins fans are the best ever. We are a loving, caring fan base, and we express our heartfelt prayers and condolences to the Mooney family.

“We got to be better humans and be kind in an unkind world,” she wrote.

Dolphins running back Salvon Ahmed had already shown his support for Mooney’s family, providing a link to the GoFundMe page.

“If you’d like to continue contributing, I wholeheartedly support that decision, and GoFundMe has assured me and my team that the fund is genuine.”
