Patrick Mahomes or Jalen Hurts: Who will win the MVP award for the 2022-23 NFL season?
With just four more weeks of the regular season remaining, the race for the 2022 NFL MVP award is heating up. Currently, two candidates are among the favorites to win it and they are Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. Here, we analyze which of the two quarterbacks has had a better season so far.
As things stand, the Philadelphia Eagles have had the best season with 12 wins and just one defeat after Week 14 and they are leading the NFC East. Jalen Hurts has had an exceptional campaign until now, putting up 3,157 passing yards and a whopping 22 touchdowns, while throwing three interceptions.

He also has 686 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Hurts has recorded a 108.4 passer rating this term.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs are leading the AFC West with 10 wins and three losses. Patrick Mahomes is having another stellar campaign and looks set to guide his team to the divisional title. The quarterback has racked up 4160 passing yards and an astonishing 33 touchdowns while throwing 11 interceptions. He also has 280 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Mahomes has a 103.4 passer rating this season.
While it is difficult to pick between the two, Mahomes has dominated the stats and is leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. However, it is difficult to overlook the fact that Hurts has added plenty to the Eagles’ attack, who are toppling almost everyone they play against.
That’s. Our. Quarterback.

The two have similar attributes and it is doubtless going to be an interesting battle to see who finishes the season with the better stats. More so, NFL fans cannot wait to know the winner of the MVP award.
