Patrick Mahomes Misses Out on This Historic Record Set by Otto Graham With His 55th Win in the NFL
We’re seven game weeks into the 2022 NFL season and with each week that passes, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, the two front runners for MVP accolades at the end of the season, put on one jaw-dropping performance after another which forces the other to level up their game.
This time around, it was no different. The Bills and Allen had a bye week in-game week seven, whereas Mahomes and his men took on the San Francisco 49ers. Mahomes finished the game with a mind-boggling 423 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception to his name.

However, it was not the win itself that really showed how good Patrick Mahomes has been in the NFL thus far, but it was the record he equaled. The game against the 49ers was Mahomes’ 70th game in the NFL and of the 70 he has secured a win in 55 games.
Let's add on 2 more, shall we?!

That is a staggering win percentage of 78%. Per the NFL, that ties him with Ken Stabler for the second most wins in 70 starts in league history. Both trail only former Browns quarterback Otto Graham, who won 58 of his first 70 starts.

The game started well for the 49ers who took a 10-point lead early on. However, from there on out, it was all downhill for the men from San Francisco. Once Mahomes took control of the game, it was a display of both his and his team’s offensive prowess. Mahomes spread the ball well and found his receivers at will, both Marquez Valdes-Scantling and JuJu Smith-Schuster, had over 100 receiving yards.

This is the second time this season that Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have defeated a team they last met in a Super Bowl final. The win now puts the Chiefs at 5-2, seven games into the season. Next up for the all-conquering Chiefs are the Tennessee Titans on the sixth of November.
