Pat McAfee Believes All The Sides Are Targeting Him, Politics Is The Root Cause
The ESPN program named after Pat McAfee has never been the most family-friendly, but on Monday it reached a new height of outrage.
Pat McAfee Believes All The Sides Are Targeting Him, Politics Is The Root Cause
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the former punter for the Indianapolis Colts went on a divisive political tirade. He said that after regular guest Aaron Rodgers made allegations regarding Jimmy Kimmel and Jeffrey Epstein, he was rejected by both the Democratic and Republican Parties.
Aaron Rodgers has been under fire recently for using his platform to voice his opinions about COVID and make jokes about Jimmy Kimmel. The ESPN star initially attacked a network executive, then backed down and confused everyone when he said Rodgers was done for the season and would make an appearance the following day.

The man has been in the news a lot, albeit not necessarily for the things he desires. He has acknowledged this as well.
The man responsible for the smashing success of “The Pat McAfee Show” said the following on his show Monday:
“He [Martin King Jr.] had a dream and I think LANK was one of the closest we’ve had to potentially that dream coming to fruition. So let’s realize that as we look around and realize that we’re maybe more close than we’ve ever been. And there’s an election about to take place next year where we need to remember that we are more close than we have ever been and people could potentially try to drive us apart from the outside looking in. Now, as somebody who was cancelled by both parties last week, both of them canceled me…Two political parties canceled me last week and we are still alive. Let’s remember we don’t need the outside noise. All we need is a little bit of love, which is what we have for all of the people who have good intentions every single day whenever they wake up just like us. Now, with that being said, football is awesome.”

Last week, McAfee talked about what he views as some ESPN management “sabotage” of his show.
In addition, a significant amount of ESPN’s coverage of the college football national championship game between Michigan and Washington included McAfee.
“I certainly don’t love that I’ve found myself in political wars and public beefs because of something that a guest has said on our show or something that my dumbass has said.. including a lawsuit that was VERY public.. but I think what I’ve come to realize is that it’s gonna come with the territory of this venture,” McAfee said. “We are much more aware of that now. And, for the good of our lives, happiness, and mana 🤙🏼.. we’re gonna try and avoid as many as possible.”
