Paige VanZant Shared Her Before UFC Weight Loss Routine.

After remembering the uncomfortable procedures she had to endure, Paige VanZant is relieved that the thought of entering the cage for a fight is now happily only a faint memory.

Sometimes, in order to lose weight, athletes may resort to drastic methods, like as fasting the night before a fight or doing intense exercises that cause them to perspire profusely. However, in this instance, VanZant’s attempts to lose weight were significantly influenced by his bowel movements.

The 29-year-old talked openly about her special ways to “clean out” her body in an interview with her wrestler spouse Austin Vanderford.

Vanderford says that losing weight is the “best feeling in the world” in her opening remarks for her podcast, A Kickass Love Story.

Vanderford said: “My body feels so good. I feel so clean and like cleaned out”, to which VanZant replied: “Nope. TMI [too much information], TMI! Here I go. Every time I cut weight. I s**t my pants.”

She then continued with another story about how, while rehydrating, she got caught in a toilet with a drug tester from the US Anti-Doing Agency (USADA), which caused her to throw up and “s**t her brains out” in front of them.

“Every single time I would weigh in, I would try to rehydrate… [I was] instantly sick. So, part of USADA is once they see you, you cannot leave their sight, because, you know, it’s the whole anti-doping,” she added.

“Maybe [they think] you’re going to go do something to mask the drugs or take something. I don’t even know. So, I had my drug tester in the bathroom with me for two hours, while I s**t my brains out.”

It helps to explain why VanZant chose to leave the UFC in 2020 and accept a lucrative one-million dollar contract with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) the same year. She does have plans to get back into the ring, though.

“It’s definitely bare knuckle, and I don’t know if it’s down the road in six months, I don’t know if it’s down the road a year,” Paige told MMA Fighting. “I really just haven’t decided yet.”
