Paige Spiranac’s Q&A Session With Her Fans Proofs Why She Is Golf Mama
The top-ranked golf influencer in the world, Paige Spiranac, disclosed on Tuesday while ill in bed that her relationship with the LPGA is still tense and that some professional players “hate how I present myself and the game on social media.”
There has always been a rivalry between Paigeviews and the stodgy LPGA lifers. The social media queen launched a direct attack on the LPGA’s cleavage police in 2022 after the tour banned short skirts, leggings, and plunging necklines in 2017. This effectively forced the social media queen out of the sport. The LPGA’s clothing rule has been dubbed “slut shaming” by some media publications.

“People say you’re promoting women to show off their assets or to wear less to get more engagement online. My message is wear what you want to wear,” Spiranac, 30, stated during an interview with 2022 Maxim.
Paigeviews’ comments from her Tuesday Instagram Story Q&A suggest that there is still a lot of ice between her and professional golfers.
“Some of them are really cool and I’ve known for awhile,” About the women on the LPGA, Spiranac remarked. “Some really hate how I present myself and the game on social media. Empowered women empower other women so I’m hopeful we can just the f–k over it one day soon.”

Paigeviews said that she had “no ill will” towards the women who were upset with her interpretation of women’s golf in 2023 and her means of subsistence. Paigeviews has never disclosed how much money she has made from social media and the empire she constructed for herself by developing golf influencing.

“(W)e are all doing our part to bring awareness to the game in our OWN way. Bringing one another down only hurts us and the game. I would love to collaborate with more women on tour and in media to showcase the immense talent out there,” she added.
The interesting thing about Spiranac’s and the LPGA’s current positions is that they may both seem to be doing well and own their lanes. The Tour has disclosed this week that 28 players made over $1 million in revenue this season. It’s a record. A growing number of athletes are making more than $100,000 each year. Additionally, the overall prize pool for 2024 will be the largest in Tour history.

Although there weren’t many women over 30 who won on the tour this year, Spiranac is making a healthy living on social media and reducing her stress levels tied to golf, which wasn’t always the case in her life.
Paigeviews reminded her fans during her Q&A that when she was trying to break into the professional ranks, golf had put her in a difficult place.
“I have a complicated relationship with golf. It’s my therapy but also the reason I need therapy lol,” she wrote on her Instagram. “I love how it challenges you mentally and physically. I love how many people I’ve met through golf and the amazing places it’s taken me.
“I hate how stuffy golf can be. How judgement and closed minded some people are in the game. I believe it’s changing and getting better but it’s a constant struggle to feel accepted in a community I care so much about.”
