Packers QB Jordan Love Had Everyone Confused With The Father’s Day Post
After Aaron Rodgers was sold to the Jets, Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love, who is about to begin his first season as a full-time starter, issued a playful message to rival Chicago supporters on Sunday in reference to the holiday over the weekend.
In a video shared on social media on Sunday, Love wished all Bears supporters out there a happy Father’s Day and urged them to support the Packers.
Packers QB Jordan Love Had Everyone Confused With The Father’s Day Post
Jordan Love looked to be mocking Bears supporters on Sunday by wishing them a “Happy Father’s Day” in an apparent dig at the Packers’ bitter rivals. This set social media into a frenzy. However, it appears that the comment was taken out of context in the video where it was made.

On Twitter, a Bears supporter acknowledged asking Love to wish French Bears fans a Happy Father’s Day. But Love seemingly just overlooked including the “French” portion. The Packers quarterback also acknowledged the misunderstanding.
On this holiday, the individual wishing “Happy Father’s Day” is the son saying it to his father.
Jordan Love wished Bears fans “Happy Birthday”.
He just directly called the Bears his father.

“Was asked to do a special favor for this fan, didn’t think much of it lol but I see y’all really took it and ran with it,” he said.
Nevertheless, the rookie quarterback’s apparent dig at the rivalry’s current one-sidedness gave the internet some fodder for amusement.

Since Mitchell Trubisky took over as Chicago’s starting quarterback in 2018, the Bears have not defeated the division rival Packers, and they haven’t done so in Green Bay since Jay Cutler was in the lineup in 2015.
However, many Bears supporters were quick to point out on Twitter that Love has not thrown a single pass against the Bears in any of his three seasons in the NFL.
While many people ran with Jordan Love saying Happy Father’s Day to #Bears fans on Sunday, here’s the actual backstory of what happened:

In the recent offseason, Aaron Rodgers left for the New York Jets, giving Jordan Love his chance to take over at quarterback. The Packers’ third-year quarterback will want to improve upon his career 0-1 record as a starter while leading the team to the playoffs.
Love has completed 50 of his 83 throw attempts for 606 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions in 10 games.
