“Our families were OK with it,” said Marcus Jordan on his relationship with Larsa. Is Michael Jordan actually okay with it?

Marcus Jordan and Michael Jordan don’t appear to agree about Larsa Pippen.

Marcus said that Jordan gave his OK to his relationship with Larsa, the ex-wife of Jordan’s former Bulls colleague Scottie Pippen, just days after the NBA great expressed his disapproval of the couple.

Marcus and Larsa’s families are “OK” with their relationship, they said in a joint interview with Entertainment Tonight that was published on Wednesday, and spending time with them over the holidays made things much “easier” for the couple.

That wasn’t Marcus’ response to Jordan’s statement from Sunday when the Basketball Hall of Famer responded “no” to a question from a photographer about if he approves of the couple’s relationship.

When asked about his 32-year-old son and the 48-year-old “Real Housewives of Miami” star, Michael Jordan was seen laughing and shaking his head while ET did the interview on Sunday, just before Jordan was pictured exiting a restaurant in Paris, France.

Marcus reacted to his father’s acceptance of the marriage by saying, “Yeah, oh yeah,” to ET.

“Well, we spent some time together during the holidays,” he said. “She came and visited some of my family, I visited some of her family, so I think that’s kinda what, once we realized our families were OK with it, then I feel like that was easier for us. We spent Thanksgiving together last year and, you know, my family loves her. They think she’s great.”

“And ultimately, I think my family just wants to see me happy. And so as long as I’m happy, they’re happy with, you know, where I’m living.”

Larsa said that when the couple first made headlines for their rumored romance in September 2022, “everyone in Marcus’ family texted you like, ‘what’s going on?'”

Marcus said that when his family first found out about their relationship, there was some initial astonishment.

“Everybody had an opinion at first,” Marcus said. “I think there was some shock and interest early on, but I think that was the whole point of us trying to spend some family time together during the holidays.

“At least for me, if we’re gonna be in the media, you know, I kind of need to introduce you to my mom and my mom’s side and my dad’s side. And so, I think that went well and so far, so good.”

While leaving dinner at Matignon in Paris on Sunday with his wife Yvette Prieto, Michael Jordan engaged in a rare discussion with the media. That comes four months after Larsa stated on March 1 on “The Tamron Hall Show” that the couple and Marcus’ family were “in a great place” and that they were “in a great place.”Larsa referred to Marcus’ parents at the time by saying, “I don’t really want to talk about them.” “I sense that neither my parents nor his parents are involved. Everyone is joyful. Our entire family is doing well.

When asked if she felt that Jordan and his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy gave the go-ahead for her to date their son, Larsa responded, “Yeah, I feel like we’re great.”

In January, Marcus and Larsa made their relationship known to the public.
