The Baltimore Orioles have emerged as serious contenders to acquire Los Angeles Angels’ star, Shohei Ohtani. The bidding war for the two-way player has reached a peak, with various teams trying to secure him.
Ohtani’s stock has increased tremendously in recent times. The Angels have set the bar high for other teams to receive him. Demanding top-tier prospects and MLB talent in exchange for the star. While last season, it seemed as if the Angels had no interest in parting ways with Ohtani. Recently though, with their postseason hopes fading, the Angels are now open to many offers, with teams rushing for the prized star.

Orioles Trade Package
With the Orioles’ pool of young talented players, they have emerged as compelling candidates. While they have to improve their major-league product and compete for the AL East crown, acquiring Ohtani will be a major turn in their course. This potential trade though comes with risks, as it can deplete their team as a whole and they won’t be able to retain Ohtani in the long term.
One of the most significant players in the Orioles’ proposed trade package is the prospect, Jackson Holliday. At only 19 years old, Holliday is one of the most talented talents in baseball for his generation. He is the son of former MLB All-Star Matt Holliday, giving us high hopes for his future.
For the Angels to part ways with Ohtani, the Orioles have to part with Holliday. But the Angels can still secure more than Ohtani, such as third baseman Anthony Rendon.
