Dart was raised in Kaysville, Utah, which is roughly 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City, and spent a lot of his childhood hunting. His great-grandfather also hunted and lived off the land, as did his grandpa and father. I could go on forever.

Additionally, Brandon, his father, is actively committed in wildlife protection. He frequently contributes to numerous conservation initiatives across the state and devotes a significant amount of his time and energy to numerous initiatives that aim to promote the survival of the state’s wildlife.

He and his father jumped in the car shortly after returning from a family vacation to a warmer location, and they headed out to the La Sal mountain range near Moab. The Utah Division of Wildlife had sold them legitimate Cougar tags at the end of the fall, and they wanted to squeeze in one last hunt before Jaxson had to leave for the south.

It took a lot of work. Jaxson Dart, Brandon Dart, and their guide spent three days trekking through waist-deep powder in the hopes of spotting a lion, despite the fact that snowfall had increased in the area by about 200%. Each morning when the cougars made new tracks, they gathered their belongings, scouted all day, and awaited their chance.

The Darts have occasionally encountered cougars, but they have refrained from firing since either the shots weren’t accurate or the cougar didn’t comply with the rules. This one was distinctive. It was a biggun and just what you were looking for.

They made a contact with the Utah Division of Wildlife as soon as they noticed the cougar was down. As required by state law, a divisional officer arrived and thoroughly processed the kill.

Monday marked the beginning of Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart’s third semester in Oxford, Mississippi. The spring will bring about a quarterback duel. and that’s how the 19-year-old killed a large mountain lion in Utah before getting back on a plane with the starting position in mind.
