Ohio State Or USC? Which College Will Bronny James Choose?

While one Sierra Canyon standout committed to USC on Tuesday, another, Bronny James, isn’t anticipated to do so until the spring.

According to ESPN.com, the top recruit in the country for women’s basketball, Juju Watkins, signed with Southern California on Tuesday.

According to a person familiar with the issue, Bronny James, another Sierra Canyon star, is unlikely to sign until the spring. Because he wasn’t allowed to talk on James’ behalf, the source agreed to speak only on the condition of anonymity.

Ohio State Or USC? Which College Will Bronny James Choose?

The wait for Bronny James’ college decision has grown as his senior year at Sierra Canyon gets underway.

According to 247Sports’ aggregate rankings, the son of LeBron are a four-star prospect and the No. 43 player in the Class of 2023. He has a chance to shine in a big spotlight game and is off to a solid start in his last high school season.

LeBron James’ older son Bronny is being courted by a number of universities, including USC, Oregon, Memphis, and Ohio State. He paid a visit to Ohio State in September with his father at a football game when the crowd screamed, “We want Bronny.”

LeBron informed Sports Illustrated’s Chris Ballard that Bronny “wants to take the college way” in the magazine’s cover story for October.

Bronny, who turned 18 last month, LeBron has already stated publicly that he wants to play his final season in the NBA in 2024. Bronny will likely only play there for the 2023–24 season, wherever that may be.

“Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be,” LeBron told The Athletic, reprising a scenario from his childhood when Ken Griffey and his son, Ken Griffey Jr., played together for the Seattle Mariners. “I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

Since then, Bronny hasn’t mentioned or hinted at any additional formal trips, but recruiting agencies have reported that offers are beginning to come in.
