Odell Beckham Jr. Speaks On Rumors About $20M Contract Demand, Says ‘Teams Are Offering Way Too Little’
Odell Beckham Jr. is perplexed.
A week after a report from ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio said that the free agent wideout wants a deal worth $20 million annually, Beckham denied this to be the case.
“I’m just so confused where the quote is from me tht (sic) said I want 20,” Beckham tweeted with crying and eye-roll emojis. “All I’m sayin is 4 AINT enough.”

Odell Beckham Jr. SpeaksOn Rumors About $20M Contract Demand, Says ‘Teams Are Offering Way Too Little’
Last week, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk wrote about Odell Beckham’s willingness to sign a contract for $20 million per season, however Tom Pelissero of NFL Network had said OBJ had made “no financial demands” after trying out for many organisations.
Although Beckham expressed interest in joining a team last season, nothing came of it, and he was forced to sit out the whole 2022 season.

In the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at the end of the 2021 season, the three-time Pro Bowler tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), but not before recording two receptions for 52 yards and the game’s first score.
After a stellar undergraduate career at LSU, OBJ entered the NFL after the New York Giants selected him with the No. 12 overall choice in the 2014 NFL Draft.

With at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards, and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons, Beckham established himself as a formidable force right away. Each of those seasons saw him selected to the Pro Bowl.
During the following six seasons, though, injuries started to take a toll on Beckham, and he only managed to play in each regular-season game once.
Beckham was released and signed with the Rams in time for the 2021 season after a disastrous spell with the Cleveland Browns.

In eight regular-season games in Los Angeles, OBJ hauled in 27 passes for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He then added 21 catches for 288 yards and two more scores in four postseason games.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, up to 14 clubs attended Beckham’s workout last week, including the Giants and the Buffalo Bills, who both contacted Beckham when he was a free agency last year.

Virtually all of the other top wide receiver free agents, including JuJu Smith-Schuster, Jakobi Meyers, and Allen Lazard, have already been signed.
The 30-year-old Beckham has some obvious injury risks, but for many clubs in need of another offensive weapon, he could also be worth the risk.
Odell Beckham Jr seems to indicate he's been offered only $4 million per year. It’s not enough for OBJ to sign. pic.twitter.com/bYa6PbXQEw

The Kansas City Chiefs require a replacement for Smith-Schuster after he signed with the New England Patriots, the Baltimore Ravens are in dire need of a WR1, and the Bills are in need of a dependable WR2 to go with Stefon Diggs.
Beckham should theoretically have a sizable market, so even if he won’t get $20 million each season, $4 million per year shouldn’t be enough to secure him.
