Oakland Athletics’ Fan Runs Towards The Field & Starts Running Bases Before Game

The Oakland Athletics’ attempts to complete a move to Las Vegas are the primary plotline surrounding the franchise, which has an MLB-worst record of 12-45 this season. Only the most devoted supporters are ready to attend games at Alameda County Coliseum, which is understandable given that the club is on track to suffer well over 100 defeats and that its ownership has made it obvious that it feels the franchise’s future lies in another state.

Oakland Athletics’ Fan Runs Towards The Field & Starts Running Bases Before Game

Unimpeded by security personnel, a young fan made the decision to dash onto the field, round the bases, and then return to his section of sitting.

A fan is shown in video jumping over the fence dividing the seating area from the playing field at Oakland Coliseum. Before the action between the Oakland Athletics and the Atlanta Braves began, an unidentified “streaker” took off from somewhere around third base and raced the bases backwards.

In most settings, a ferocious supporter would be attacked, but not in Oakland. The invader sprinting across the infield and back to third while jogging appeared unperturbed even by the grounds staff.

Security located the man eventually. The ground personnel just urged him to return to his seat, which he ultimately did, rather than arresting him.

To be fair to the A’s staff, why not let this fan to create memories during such a miserable season? The grounds workers may have had a bit more work than usual as a result of the fan.

With a 12-45 record and a run differential of minus-193, the Oakland A’s have had a turbulent year and are on pace to surpass the notorious 1962 Mets’ Major League record of 120 defeats.

However, they did triumph in the opening two contests of their contest with the Braves.
