North Florida Hoopster Carter Hendricksen’s Lost Contact Lens Leads to a Big Search Party on Their Stomachs on Court
On Saturday, Kennesaw State defeated North Florida 86-72 thanks to Brandon Stroud’s 18 points. For the Owls, Stroud had five rebounds (13-6, 5-1 Atlantic Sun Conference). Terrell Burden contributed an additional 13 points by making 6 of 11 field goal attempts and 1 of 4 free throw attempts. He also had eight assists. Demond Robinson scored 12 points and made 6 of 9 field goal attempts. Carter Hendricksen, a senior at North Florida, performs better when he can see. However, he lost his contact lens during the game.
Even though that was quite clear during the collegiate basketball game versus Kennesaw State on Saturday. Early in the first half, Carter Hendricksen attempted to score the game’s first points by going to the rim. He attempted to take down his own board but missed the layup and was struck in the face.

Carter Hendricksen loses his contact lens during the game
The Owls took the rebound in the opposite direction when there was no call for a foul. Carter Hendricksen took his time resuming his defensive position despite the Ospreys as a whole doing so. He was thrown off balance by the blow to the head and the finger he received to the eye.

For the Ospreys, Carter Hendricksen ended with 20 points (7-11, 2-4). North Florida’s Jose Placer added 13 more points. Dorian James contributed nine points as well.

Before losing his contact lens, Hendricksen failed to score a single point. After losing his contact lens, he finished with 20 points, two assists, and four rebounds. Unfortunately, Hendricksen’s performance was insufficient to help the Ospreys defeat the Owls, contact lens or no.

North Florida suffered a 14-point defeat, dropping to 7-11 overall. For North Florida, Carter Hendricksen has averaged 14.2 points and 6.4 rebounds over the last 10 games. On Thursday, the teams’ next game is. North Florida hosts Queens while Kennesaw State travels to Stetson.
