Nikola Jokic’s Wife Gets Hit In The Face With A Beer Can At Nuggets Parade
Jokic’s incredible postseason helped him win the championship. In the five-game series, he averaged 30.2 points, 14 rebounds, and 7.2 assists, earning him the title of Finals MVP.
But he didn’t seem very excited when he got to know that he is supposed to stay for the parade! Nikola Jokic may have had a valid motive for wanting to leave Denver as soon as possible.

After the Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat on June 12 to win their first NBA championship in team history, Jokic’s wife, Natalija, was struck in the face by a flying beer can during the victory parade on Thursday.

Jokic, Natalija, and the couple’s one-year-old daughter Ognjena were standing on a floating float that also held the Larry O’Brien and MVP trophies. The beer was thrown onto the moving float.
While Jokic checked on Natalija to see whether she was well, it was apparent that she was clutching the right side of her face and lips in response to the collision.

Jokic, who is 28 years old, did not at first seem very excited about the parade festivities. The All-Star center attracted attention after the championship game for saying he wanted to “go home” and for being disappointed when told he would have to stay until Thursday before flying back to Serbia.

Nevertheless, Jokic appeared to alter his mind about the parade when he spoke to the throngs of supporters in Denver, despite the incident with Natalija and the beer can.
“You know I told that I didn’t want to stay for Parade,” Jokic said at the podium.

“We’re all going to remember this our whole lives, and when we see you guys that came out on the streets, this one is for you. We love you Denver, this one is for you,” Jokić added.
