Is Aaron Rodgers still turning into one of the most hated players in the NFL?

Then there was his domineering presence on the New York Jets, who upon his arrival were predicted to challenge for the Super Bowl; instead, he tore his Achilles in the team’s first game, causing a collapse and an additional season without even making the playoffs.

During Wednesday’s broadcast of “First Things First,” the presenter of FS1 teased the Jets quarterback, calling him “the most disingenuous athlete of my lifetime.”

“You were disingenuous about the vaccine, that was annoying. Not that status, the way you did it. You were disingenuous about your retirement status, 90 percent retired. You were disingenuous about coming out of the dark room. I’m going to play for the Packers, that was my only goal,” Wright said about the future Hall of Famer.

“You were disingenuous about how well Verizon works in southern California. You were then disingenuous about whether or not you wanted Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard and Tim Boyle on your team or if Joe Douglas is just quite simply the worst talent evaluator in NFL history.  You were disingenuous about why [Nathaniel] Hackett is now the offensive coordinator.

“You’re now disingenuous about your own comeback, which you were disingenuous about the entire time.”

Wright feels that Rodgers, who seldom makes the news when out of the game, is fully aware of what he is doing.

The media star criticized Rodgers for distancing himself from the Jets’ poor moves, which appeared to be connected to his satisfaction, such bringing in former Packers players Cobb and Lazard, who haven’t contributed much, and his troubled former offensive coordinator, Hackett.

“The commentary is not about your vaccination status, it’s about you being the most disingenuous athlete of my lifetime.”
