NFL Week 3 injury report: Who are the key players that suffered injuries during the action-packed week?

Following another star-studded week of NFL action to end week 3 of the 2022-23 regular season, we have our injured list of players.

The following Arizona Cardinals players were forced to leave the game against the Rams: linebacker Zaven Collins (shoulder), defensive tackle Rashard Lawrence (hand), and offensive lineman Justin Pugh (elbow). In the third quarter, wide receiver A.J. Green was diagnosed with a knee injury and declared out.

  • Pass rusher Justin Houston (ankle), left tackle Patrick Mekari (ankle), and defensive tackle Michael Pierce (arm) for the Baltimore Ravens were all declared out of the game against the New England Patriots.
  • Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, went to the X-ray room after the match versus Miami but declared himself “OK.” Christian Benford, a cornerback, was injured and exited the game. Additionally excluded were wide receiver Jake Kumerow (ankle) and tackle Spencer Brown (illness).
  • Donte Jackson, a cornerback with the Carolina Panthers, missed the game against New Orleans due to a neck injury.
  • Running back David Montgomery of the Chicago Bears (knee/ankle) and receiver Byron Pringle (calf) was hurt in the first quarter and left the game against the Texans.
  • D.J. Reader, a defensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals, was declared out after suffering a left knee injury against the Jets.
  • Prior to Monday’s game against the Giants, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Luke Gifford (hamstring) was added to the injury list. He might not be suitable to play.
  • Both defensive lineman D.J. Jones and linebacker Baron Browning of the Denver Broncos left the game against San Francisco due to injuries to their knees.
  • In the second quarter, Vikings opponent Tracy Walker of the Detroit Lions was ruled out due to an ankle injury.
  • Jaire Alexander, a cornerback for the Green Bay Packers, was forced from the game against Tampa Bay in the first quarter due to a groin injury.
  • Nate Hobbs (concussion) and Rock Ya-Sin (knee) of the Las Vegas Raiders were cornerbacks who left the game versus Tennessee and did not come back.
  • Joey Bosa of the Los Angeles Chargers was unable to play versus Jacksonville because of a  groin injury. Rashawn Slater, an offensive tackle, exited the contest as well due to a biceps injury.
  • Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, momentarily left the game against Buffalo due to a back injury before coming back. Greg Little, a tackle, lost his return due to a finger injury.
  • In the fourth quarter against the Lions, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook (shoulder) was ruled out. Cook’s shoulder dislocated, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. Cook did not have a harness on and has an unrepaired labral tear; however, according to Pelissero, it is hoped that he will wear one and play against the Saints on Sunday.
  • Mac Jones, the quarterback for the New England Patriots against Baltimore, left the contest late in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. Jones is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday, according to NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Jones is thought to have sustained a high ankle sprain. He’ll probably be late. Lawrence Guy, a defensive lineman, was out with a shoulder injury. Jalen Mills, a defensive back, departed the game with a hamstring injury and did not come back.
  • Andrus Peat, an offensive lineman for the New Orleans Saints, will not play versus Carolina due to a concussion. Receivers Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) both left the game and did not come back.
  • Garrett Wilson, a receiver with the New York Jets, left the game with a rib injury but came back to play the Bengals. George Fant, an offensive tackle, left the field after suffering a knee injury. Quincy Williams, a linebacker, was carried off the field with an ankle injury and did not return.
  • Trent Williams, the left tackle for the San Francisco 49ers, will not play versus Denver due to an ankle injury. Azeez Al-Shaair, a linebacker, exited the game due to a knee injury and did not come back.
