How do the NFL playoffs work in 2023?
The playoffs consist of seven teams competing in each conference.

Should there be an upset heading into each respective round, the lowest seeds left would face the highest seeds remaining. For instance, the No. 7 seed would face the No. 1 seed after the Nos. 6 and No. 7 seeds win their respective matches. However, No. 6 would play No. 1 and so on and so forth if No. 6 triumphed and No. 7 lost.
The two divisional-round winners would then play each other in the conference championship to earn a berth in the Super Bowl versus the winner of the other conference.
