NFL Offensive Power Rankings

NFL Offensive Power Rankings

Heading into the 2023 NFL season, lets look at the team with the best and the worst offensive fire power across the league.

32.) Texans
This offense has very little talent on it, the worst WR room in the entire league, lead by a rookie QB where are the points coming from on this team because i don’t see it. i would assume that the Texans game is going to include a lot of Play action to get Stroud into the swing of the NFL, as well as getting Dameon Pierce and Dalton Schultz involved as they seem to be the 2 biggest play makers on this offense.

31.) Cardinals

Lose DeAndre Hopkins to the Titans and Kyler Murray is out for the first portion of this season. Colt McCoy leads this offense with little to no firepower on it. It is fair to say that these will be the worst two offenses in the league.

30.) Falcons

I was never a big fan of Desmond Ridder and the thought of him leading an NFL offense is scary for Falcons fans. But this is some playmakers on the offense, Bijan Robinson is a bluechip prospect, Kyle Pitts is still waiting for that breakout year and Drake London showed some promising moments in his rookie year.

29.) Rams

Matt Stafford is still a question mark after his injury but the only reason that the Rams aren’t closer to the bottom is because of Cooper Kupp. Kupp makes everyone around his ten times better even when the guys around him are no where close to being on his skill level. Kupp won the triple crown just 2 years ago and set the record for most receiving yards in a single season.

28.) Buccaneers

There is no other way to put it Baker Mayfield is the worst starting QB in the entire NFL. This offense looked terrible last year with Brady, just imagine how they are going to turn out if they are lead by Baker Mayfield. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans are both top 30 WRs in the NFL and there is still some talent on the line, but having Baker Mayfield as your leader is not a step forward for this franchise following the retirement of Tom Brady.

27.) Titans

The Titans finished last year 3rd bottom in total yards. They had no support at wide receiver, so how do they fix it? They go out an add one of the league best WRs, DeAndre Hopkins. Sure Hopkins hasn’t had the best past 2 years, but I think he has a real chance to produce in Tennessee. He can really elevate Ryan Tannehill’s play and the overall performance of the Titans offense.

26.) Carolina Panthers

With the First overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, the Panthers selected Bryce Young QB out of Alabama. Young was by far the best QB in he draft class but the Panthers offense didn’t really get much better yet. Although they had to get rid of DJ Moore in the deal for Young, he was the best player on this offense. Reich replaced Moore with DJ Chark and Adam Thielen. Thielen is washed up, and Chark has never been anything more than just okay. Its tough to see the offense making strives at being good just yet.

25.) Patriots

This Patriots team still hasn’t recovered from Tom Brady’s departure in 2021, they have been stuck in mediocrity. Since his rookie year, Mac Jones has been nothing better than all right. They overpaid Juju in the offseason giving him 33 million dollar over 3 years and Bill Belichick has been making questionable decisions on the field for the last couple of years.

24.) Colts

Anthony Richardson is one of the most dynamic player is recent draft history. However he does have some accuracy issues so it will be interesting to see how he molds into an NFL player with the Colts offense. Obviously Johnathan Taylor is still running the backfield, lets see if he can have a bounce back year after struggling with injuries most of last season.

23.) Commanders

I have a lot of faith in Sam Howell. I am a fan of his weapons, love Jahan Dotson and Terry Mclaurin as well as his coach staff. I think he has the tools to be great in Washington, but he and this offense just aren’t there yet.

22.) Packers

Another team where i really like their young Qb, a very similar situation to the one in Washington.

21.) Bears

Justin Fields has made it clear that he is one of the best rushing QBs in the NFL. Put not only is he a dominate rushing QB, but he also has a cannon of an arm, he has showed glimpses of it all year. And this year with DJ Moore by his side i think he can take the next step.

20.) Saints The Saints are stuck in mediocrity, there is nobody on this offense you could call a playmaker, Alvin Kamara might get suspended and they will be left Jamaal William leading this backfield.

19.) Raiders

Sure the Raiders have all the talent, but will the be able to perform. Jimmy G hasn’t even passed his physical yet so he might not even be the QB for the Raiders. And if he isn’t the QB, they are screwed, plus Josh Jacobs might sit out. At least they have Davonte Adams, one of the best WRs this league has ever seen.

18.) Giants

The Giants would be ranked a lot higher if it weren’t for the contract situation with Saquon Barkley, if he sits out this offense could be boardline terrible. They ran the4th most play action in the NFL last year so they really need Barkley

17.)Broncos

People keep sleeping on the Broncos purely because of last year. But Sean Payton is in town and people forget we are talking about Russel Wilson. Sure he didn’t have a good year last year, but i fully expect him to get back on the wagon with the help of two quality WRs in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

16.) Steelers

I think Kenny Pickett has the potential to be this years Trevor Lawrence. Pickett has a great coaching staff by his side, hes been putting in the reps in the off-season and he also has a great WR room to work with. The offense line could use work, but they have been working on it this year. It will be fun to see how Pickett develops this year as a passer. Fans are also waiting for the big Najee Harris Breakout season.

15.) Browns

On Paper this is one of the best offenses in the entire league. From top to bottom they look complete, the line is great, the WRs are elite, Nick Chubb is the best RB in the league. And this could truly become on of the best in the league if DeShaun Watson could take the next level, the way we seen him this year was nothing like the Watson we say in 2018.

14.) Lions

The Lions may be America’s team at this point, and rightfully so. They are very entertaining to watch, Amon Rae, Jameson williams, and Gibbs lead by Goff. They were an underdog story for the ages last year but can they make the playoffs this year?

13.) Vikings

These are the elite offenses in the NFL, and it helps when you have Justin Jefferson on your roster. He is by far the best WR in the NFL

12.) Jaguars
Trevor Larence had a massive breakout season in 2022 after throwing the leagues most INTs in 2021. With the help of new WR Calvin Ridley, as well as Christian Kirk and Travis Etienne, i expect this offense to be firing on all cylinders again in 2023 lead by Doug Peterson

11.) Seahawks

The Seahawks surprisingly had one of the most efficient the offenses in the league last year lead by geno smith, now they had Smith-Njigba to the mix in the slot. the 3 WRs in that room are like a three-headed monster.

10.) Cowboys

This offense has the potential to be the best in the league. A stacked WR room with Lamb, Cook and Gallup as well as a very developed RB in Tony Pollard. But its all up to Dak Prescott, he lead the league in interceptions thrown, if he can get back on track, with the addition of Brandin Cooks, they can be the best in the league

9.) Ravens

The Ravens have a lot of question marks on offense but when Lamar Jackson on the field, the dynamic of this team completely changes. Sure Jackson is a great runner, but he is severely underrated as a passer, he has one of the best deep ball’s in the entire league. There are not too many people I would take over Lamar Jackson if I was building an NFL offense. Lamar Jackson hasn’t had the supporting cast around him his entire career, but this year he finally has some help at WR with Odell and Bateman. Hopefully, this year Jackson can take the next step as a passer, and prove why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

8.) 49ers

The 49ers have some of the best skill positions in the entire NFL, between Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, Christian McCaffery and George Kittle, this offense is one the NFL’s finest. But there offense is pretty easy to operate for QB’s, that why we have seen guys like Brock Purdy and Jimmy G strive at the QB position. Sure it is great to see below average QBs playing quality football, but if they had a quality, top 15 10 starter, I believe this could be a Super Bowl caliber offense.

7.) Jets

Aaron Rodgers arrives in the Big Apple and it is a complete culture change for this organization. From Zach Wilson to Aaron Rodgers is a huge boost in QB play. We have seen strive with Davonte Adams in Green Bay, and if you ask me, Garrett Wilson and Adams are very similar WRs. Sure Wilson is more slender than Adams, but in terms of skillset i think they are very alike. Can we see a Rodgers-Adams connects with Garrett Wilson in NY?

6.) Bills

All of the top 6 offenses in the league is very competitive, but the Bills are probably the worst of the 6. The Bills offense seems very one-dimensional. No threat from the run game other than the legs of Josh Allen, the only way them seem to succeed is from the deep arm of Josh Allen and the supreme route running from Stefon Diggs.

5.) Chargers

On Paper this may be the best offense in the NFL other than the Bengals. All 3 starting WRs have WR1 potential on any other team, and Austin Ekeler is an absolute work horse in the backfield. Ekeler lead the team in receptions last year, more than any WR on the team. Justin Herbert is primed for a breakout season with all of these guys around him including rookie WR Quentin Johnston. On paper, they are great but they haven’t put up the numbers on the field just yet.

4.) Dolphins

The Dolphins have the best wide receiver duo in the NFL with Waddle and Tyreek Hill. The 2 of them are a complete 2 punch knockout and are a headache for NFL defense. Just 2 years ago they had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, but they have completely flipped that script with the addition of Terron Armstead. They also haven’t had the most steady QB the last 3 years. last year Tua was having a massive breakout year, until he suffered back-to-back concussions. If Tua can stay healthy, this is a potential Super Bowl candidate team.

3.) Chiefs

Having Patrick Mahomes is a complete game changer for any team, he is by far the best QB in the NFL. The problem with the Chiefs offense however is their weapons, outside of Kelce there is not a single player worth of starting on any of the top 10 offenses. Kelce and Mahomes connection is going to put this team on there back this year just like they did last year when Tyreek Hill left for Miami, however, they don’t have the offensive firepower to keep up with the 2 other teams ahead of them.

2.) Bengals

The connection between WR Ja’Marr Chase and QB Joe Burrow dates all the way back to college at LSU, and it makes the Bengals offense the 2nd most dominate in the NFL. If that wasn’t enough for the bengals, Tee Higgins is also an elite WR, possibly a top 12 WR in the league. Joe Mixon is also able to dominate on the ground playing behind a solid running block unit, the passing blocking on the other hand isn’t that great. The Bengals only major flaw on offense is their ability to protect Joe Burrow while he is in the pocket.

1.) Eagles
This is the most complete offense in the NFL by far. From WR with Davonta Smith and AJ Brown to QB with Jalen Hurts. In the backfield they are lead by D’Andre Swift but it doesn’t even matter how good he is because the Eagles offensive line is going to create massive holes for any running back, given their dominance at the line of scrimmage.
