NFL Legend Not Convinced of Odell Beckham Jr’s Greatness After Super Bowl, Fails to Recognize His Greatness

Early in his career, Odell Beckham Jr. was rated as one of the best five receivers, maybe even the top three. But after sustaining a string of critical injuries, he is now, at age 29, a questionable starter in the NFL. Additionally, he was released as a result of his falling out with the Browns and what was thought to be a lack of effort.

The receiver is still not under contract. He probably won’t get much money guaranteed if he wants a long-term agreement. Instead, he can decide to sign a one-year contract to prove it with a team that would either provide him a greater chance to show off his skills or wins another championship.

Warren Sapp, a controversial Super Bowl winner, is not afraid to disparage people. He declared that Odell Beckham Jr. is not terrific in 2018, criticizing him. Sapp, though, thinks that Odell is now experiencing something more significant.

Warren Sapp on Odell Beckham Jr.

“When I saw his old lady was pregnant with a baby, I said this was gonna change that. Odell Beckham Jr. Now has something greater than Odell Beckham Jr. If a child doesn’t make you realize that, nothing will.”

“The kid’s gonna change him, though. That’s the thing I wanna see. Because that’s what changed me. That’s what made me, you know, look at those five things more closely. Because I had someone at home, I was gonna have to answer to.”

He thinks that if having a new child doesn’t transform OBJ into a man, nothing else would. Sapp is emphatic that the athlete’s life will alter, and she is convinced that this will affect the athlete’s performance. Warren is also eager to see what OBJ can do to the NFL in the 2022 season. In comparison to the prior season, he anticipates Odell to play better than himself.
