NFL Insider Dan Graziano On Joe Burrow’s Health: Might Be An Issue For Bengals This Season
This week, an NFL source made an unsettling revelation concerning Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
NFL Insider Dan Graziano On Joe Burrow’s Health: Might Be An Issue For Bengals This Season
Burrow has been dealing with a calf ailment since the start of training camp in late July. Burrow missed much of training camp due to the injury, which has resulted in Cincinnati’s offence not appearing sharp early this season.
The Bengals are 0-2 on the season, and to make matters worse, Burrow “tweaked” his calf injury in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Joe Burrow’s leg issue might keep the Bengals out all season. In his weekly joint piece with Jeremy Fowler, ESPN’s Dan Graziano mentioned the injury as Cincinnati struggles to pick up the pieces and keep the most anticipated season in franchise history afloat.

“I’ll go with Burrow in Cincinnati,” Fowler said about the most surprising bad QB situation in the NFL. “Raise your hand if you had him ranking 22nd in Total QBR entering Week 3 (47.2). Sure, Cincinnati started slowly last year and was fine, but Burrow doesn’t look right after missing most of training camp and the preseason because of the calf issue, which he aggravated Sunday. In Chicago, Justin Fields’ struggles are mildly surprising, but not so much when you consider his indecision in the pocket is an extension of last season.”

“Fair points on Burrow,” Graziano said. “At this point, it does seem we can assume he isn’t fully healthy, which could mean trouble for the Bengals all year.”
We’re seven weeks out from the injury, and the calf strain is still giving the Bengals and Cincinnati fans issues.

He carried for 73 yards in Cincinnati’s first two games last season, both defeats. The calf issue definitely limits Burrow’s mobility, which limits the Bengals’ offensive output.
Unfortunately for Cincinnati, there is no assurance that Burrow will be healthy anytime soon.

If Burrow isn’t 100 per cent, or at least near enough to 100 per cent that he can move freely, the Bengals’ offence will struggle to compete at a championship level.
