NFL Begins An Investigation Against Former Cowboys Player Ezekiel Elliott’s Crew With Regards To Involvement In The Bar Fight

NFL player and former running back for the Dallas Cowboys, Ezekiel Elliott, was at a club in the Frisco area of The Star over the weekend when a violent argument broke out. Frisco Police have told TMZ Sports that they are looking into the identity of the parties involved.

NFL Begins An Investigation Against Former Cowboys Player Ezekiel Elliott’s Crew With Regards To Involvement In The Bar Fight

According to TMZ and other media, Elliott is involved in the brawl because his “crew” or “entourage,” as they put it, is the one initiating the altercation. However, there’s no indication in the customer-shot video that Elliott is involved in any issues.

The altercation took place around one in the morning, according to TMZ Sports, and the circumstances surrounding it are still being looked into by Frisco Police Department officials. One of the things they’re  attempting to get to the bottom of is whether or not anyone from Elliott’s crew was involved.

We think that may be true, which would put Elliott “involved” in a tangential capacity. Investigators may interrogate Elliott about if a buddy or bodyguard accompanied him that evening and, if so, whether the companion or bodyguard got into any kind of altercation.

Elliott was suspended for six games in 2017 after the NFL looked into a domestic abuse allegation in Ohio for a full year.

The NFL presented “substantial and persuasive evidence” of physical altercations between Elliott and his then-girlfriend, Tiffany Thompson, over the previous summer, even though local prosecutors chose not to press charges in the instance involving Elliott.

“A male and a female were physically assaulted by a large group of males,” according to the police incident report. Police department spokesperson: According to witnesses, there is a possibility that “members of Elliott’s group may have been involved.”

Nevertheless, Elliott was nowhere close to the action when it happened, as the video footage makes abundantly evident. It seems like he had more important things on his plate then.

Zeke is seen conversing with a woman across the bar as the blows were being delivered to the opposite side of the room.

Elliott glances over his shoulder at the altercation. He shakes his head, turns back, and gets back to talking to the nameless woman.

Detectives are still attempting to verify the incident’s specifics as part of the ongoing police investigation. Whether the event in the Texas pub has any legal ramifications will depend on how it turns out.

Elliott, a seven-season Cowboys player, signed a contract with the New England Patriots in 2023. He had a great rookie campaign despite switching teams, with 955 total yards from scrimmage and five total touchdowns.
