The NFC South was poor in 2022, as seen by the Saints’ continued pursuit of a playoff place late in the season. However, they had fantastic momentum in the final four games of their season, winning three of those games.

They will attempt to keep up their winning ways despite losing some important defensive players including Marcus Davenport, Shy Tuttle, and David Onyemata. However, by agreeing to a four-year, $150 million contract with four-time Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr, the Saints have strengthened their offensive.
