NFL 2022-23 Season: Playoffs, Award predictions ft MVP, OPOY, DPOY and more

One of these years, with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, the Green Bay Packers will prove us right (and think this will be his last year there). Since Rodgers will be there, the passing game won’t suffer much, and the running game and defense will flourish, we are less concerned than most about the departure of Davante Adams.

The Eagles, who now have an explosive No. 1 receiver in A.J. Brown and have top-tier offensive and defensive lines, are the NFC club we envision making a significant improvement. our impression after reviewing the NFC is that there aren’t many strong clubs, and the league has fewer elite teams overall. Regarding the AFC, the Chargers no longer have any flaws, but every other team does. Joe Burrow of this year, but with a bigger arm, is Justin Herbert. Despite having a subpar quarterback, we prefer the Dolphins more than most and believe they will contend with the Bills in that division. But in the end, it will be small Green Bay that vanquishes the enormous Los Angeles (in Phoenix).

Unsafe assumption: Deshaun Watson won’t participate in 2022. The NFL won’t allow Watson to play this year even if it didn’t get the full-year suspension it sought. Why? The most obvious explanation is the transition to “real” football and the belief that practice in training camp and a few errant throws versus Jacksonville in the preseason are insufficient preparation for competition, particularly following a three-month absence (the idea he will return to face his old team, the Texans, after a 15-week layoff is, to us, folly).

The additional cause? For Watson to return to playing, counseling and treatment must give their approval. At this point, he has unquestionably not expressed regret or taken ownership of his actions. Will he alter more than just saying what the therapists (and the public) want to hear? A therapist would be able to see right through that, therefore we think there’s a good chance he won’t be “cleared” to play football again since he still believes, as he has for more than a year, that he did nothing wrong.
