New York Giants Isaiah Hodgins Shares Pictures of His Extremely Swollen Ankle Prior to the Game
The playoffs are upon us and with only one game left, the fate of all teams except two are already decided. Going into their wildcard game against the New York Giants, the Vikings led by Kirk Cousins were strong favorites to secure the win. They had finished the regular season with a record of 13-4 and looked impressive.

The New York Giants, on the other hand, made the NFC Wild Card game at 9-7-1 in Brian Daboll’s first year as head coach. Since 2008, the New York Giants have reached the playoffs only twice. Once in 2011 when Eli Manning led them to a Super Bowl win, and the second time when they reached the wild card round in Ben McAdoo’s first and only full year at the helm. However, ever since he’s taken over Brian Daboll has transformed the team into a cohesive unit capable of winning tough games.

While the credit for the win goes to the entire team, two players, in particular, had standout games. Quarterback Daniel Jones, the former No. 6 draft pick, went 24-35 for 301 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 78 yards on 17 carries as the team’s leading rusher. Jones’ main target man was Isaiah Hodgins, with eight catches for 105 yards and a score.

After the game, Hodgins took to Instagram to share a picture of his ankle before the game. The picture shared left fans in disbelief as to how he even started the game, let alone perform so well. The photo shows a severely swollen and bruised ankle. So far this season, Hodgins has not had too many opportunities given to him, but when it mattered most, he delivered.
