New Orleans Saints’ Michael Thomas Fantasy: WR NFL Data & Stats Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

After missing the whole 2021 season due to an ankle injury, Michael Thomas is scheduled to make his football debut with the New Orleans Saints in 2022. This is the first time we will really see Thomas in action since the 2019 season, a season in which Thomas put together one of the most dominant seasons in NFL history for a wide receiver.

Thomas played sparingly during the 2020 season as well, so this is the first time we will really see him in action.

Michael ThomasFantasy managers are hoping Thomas lives up to the hype that has been surrounding him since his August debut in New Orleans. Although he hasn’t been seen much after his outstanding 2019, he now seems totally fit and prepared to once again top the Saints in targets.

In 2019, Thomas‘ final complete season, he won offensive Player of the Year. However, since then, the Saints have completely rebuilt their wide receiver group, acquiring Chris Olave in the draft and Jarvis Landry in free agency.

He should still contribute to the Saints’ passing game in a positive way, and barring any further setbacks, he will continue to serve as the group’s top wide receiver. With all this support at his side, Thomas, who will be the Saints’ primary option in the passing game, will find openings much more readily.

However, Thomas’ chances in fantasy football depend on him. It’s important to keep in mind that Thomas will be 29 before the start of the 2022 season, and missing two seasons may be quite harmful. In essence, he recently missed two seasons of his prime.
