New Orleans Saints’ Demario Davis Fantasy: LB NFL Defensive Data, Stats & Speculations 2022

Player Outlook

Earlier this year, the New Orleans Saints’ front office rewarded their long-time linebacker Demario Davis with a contract extension. The new contract will keep him at the club till the end of the 2024 season. As a part of the new contract, Davis will receive a pay cut but the incentives on his contract will increase.

Davis started off his NFL career with the New York Jets in 2012 and this will be his 11th season in the NFL. Davis is the most experienced person in the Saints’ lineup and will be an integral part of their defense this year. Last year, the veteran linebacker earned second-team All-Pro honors after registering his fifth straight season with more than 100 tackles and will likely continue being the leader of the Saints’ defense moving forward.

Demario Davis’ fantasy data

This season, Davis will be the first-choice middle linebacker for the Saints. Alongside the likes of Kaden Elliss, and Paulson Adebo, among others, Davis has a relatively new team to work with. It will be interesting to see how Michael Hodges and his team are able to get the linebackers working in unison.

Last season Davis played and started 16 games for the Saints. Over the course of the season, he managed 70 solo tackles and 35 assisted tackles along with three sacks which is impressive, to say the least. It will be interesting to see how Davis performs this year and if he is able to better his stats from 2021 which are already among the best to begin with.
