NBA Star Steph Curry Reveals Retirement Advice From NFL Legend Tom Brady

NFL veteran Tom Brady and NBA superstar Steph Curry spoke about possible retirement and how to recognize when it’s the appropriate time to call it quits, Curry shockingly disclosed. Curry guided the Golden State Warriors to the NBA title last season, but despite his continuous exploits, the club is having some trouble this year.

Curry, who continues to be among the finest basketball players in the world, was the driving force behind the Warriors’ recent victory, their fourth NBA championship. He scored 32 points to lead Golden State to a decisive 123-107 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, raising their record to 14-13. He is presently averaging 30.0 points per game.

Curry, however, is 34 years old and obviously considering calling it quits in his career. Curry asked Brady for retirement advice even though he is convinced he can play for a number of more seasons.

After speaking with the NFL quarterback, Curry told reporters what he learned and what his philosophy is as he enters the twilight of his career.

“I talked to Tom Brady at one point about how he’s at the point in his career where he’s still playing at a high level at 44 or whatever it is,” Curry said during an appearance at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards.

“His example and his advice was to take it a year at a time.

“He said there’s no way to fast forward, that’s not how you got to this point, so don’t rush yourself and think about how long you can do it.

“Your body will tell you, and I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon.”

Brady announced his retirement from the NFL in February after 22 years as a seven-time Super Bowl champion, only to quickly and dramatically reverse his mind. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who the 45-year-old has since led to a 6-6 record, are currently leading the NFC South and are expected to host a playoff game in January.
