NBA Star Dennis Rodman’s Son Joined USC: How Good Of A Player Is He?

USC’s basketball roster is getting more star-studded by the moment. The Trojans had already landed Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Now, DJ Rodman has announced on social media that he’s transferring to USC.

Three days after James disclosed his next move in his basketball career, Rodman announced it on Tuesday. The eldest son of LeBron James deliberated for some time before deciding to remain in Southern California, where his family now resides.

On Twitter, supporters responded to the news of DJ Rodman’s move and partnership with Bronny James. Since signing Isaiah Collier, the top prospect in the 2023 class, USC has been developing a pretty strong squad.

The son of NBA rebounding great Dennis Rodman played the past four seasons at Washington State.

In 30 of Washington State’s 31 games last season, Rodman was a dependable starter. After recording 9.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.7 steals, and shooting 38.1 percent from outside the arc in 2022–23, he is coming off of his most significant season.

In 12 games last season, Rodman scored at least ten points, including a 23-point effort against Eastern Washington in the NIT. In four games, he grabbed double-digit rebounds, and in eight, he had at least two steals.

Last year, USC finished 22-11 and made it to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year. In the opening round, the Trojans were defeated by Michigan State 72–62.
